Humanitarian Aid (fSU)

She Saw Me in a Dream!
'If this is what you really want me to be doing with my life, Father, please confirm it in a very clear way on this trip,’ I prayed. Was I really supposed to be in Kiev, Ukraine, finding Jewish families to tell them of God’s will for them to return to Israel? Christians are supposed to do that, but was I specifically called to this kind of work? There are plenty of other things I could do to serve the Father. I wanted to be sure this was His calling so I prayed that simple prayer on the first day of the Engage Ukraine 2013 trip. Two days later He answered that prayer in a way I couldn’t have...

Helping Jewish People by Providing Humanitarian Aid in the fSU
In 2012 your financial giving enabled us to expand aid projects to nearly all the countries in the Former Soviet Union. Your donations made it possible to carry out nine different projects in ten Ebenezer base areas with: Providing Holocaust survivors (about 1,000) with medicines and food parcels Providing hundreds of Jewish children with winter boots and vitamins Providing food parcels to thousands of Jewish families in great need of help This work would have been impossible without your sacrificial giving and the work of our foreign volunteers. We value your support very much; may the Lord...

Ongoing Aid Projects in the former Soviet Union (fSU)
The giving of humanitarian aid is coupled with the call to Jewish people to make aliyah (immigrate to Israel). Our humanitarian aid work is vital, not only in providing a bridge into Jewish communities but because it is often the key to aliyah. Our teams travel extensively throughout vast areas in the fSU, providing basic needs, encouraging and bringing hope to Jewish families in need. These projects enable us to show practical love and care; those who receive our help are really blessed and encouraged. This work, which we call “Love in Action,” provides many opportunities to share scriptures...

Five years ago we had to close down our office there due to restrictions making our presence impossible. Now our goal there is to build a network of local helpers, volunteers and prayer groups. One helper is Tatyana, a...

Following Each Other to Israel
“Thus says the Lord God, ‘Behold, I will lift up My hand to the nations and set up My standard to the peoples; and they will bring your sons in their bosom, and your daughters will be carried on their shoulders.’ ” Isaiah 49:22 (NLT) Following Each Other to Israel So many times when we help a family to make aliyah, other members follow.Recently we saw Gennady and Svetlana from Balti, northern Moldova, fly to Israel to be reunited with their daughter Diana, whom we also helped a few years ago through a Jewish Agency repatriation program. Two years ago we helped Svetlana’s brother Mikhail to go...
