Why Israel?

WHY ISRAEL?

01.

Why Israel?

Christians are indebted to the Jewish People.

The vast majority of Christians are Gentile (non-Jewish) believers in the God of Israel, and as such, we are indebted to the Jewish people (see Romans 15:27). They have given us everything we believe in: the Bible, the Church founders and even Jesus Himself. Nevertheless, throughout the history of the Church we have frequently rejected and persecuted Jewish people. We are deeply ashamed of this part of our history.

Today we have a unique opportunity to reverse the wrongs of the last 2,000 years and write a new chapter in the relationship between the Church and the Jewish people.  Now is the time to bless them and assist them to return to Israel, the land God promised to give them as an everlasting and unconditional possession (see Genesis 17:8).

02.

Why Israel?

God invites us to assist Jewish people with their return to Israel.

The Lord, through His Word speaks clearly to the gentiles that we will be the ones to partner with Him in bringing His children home.

“This is what the Sovereign Lord says: ‘See, I will beckon to the nations, I will lift up my banner to the peoples; they will bring your sons in their arms and carry your daughters on their hips.'” Isaiah 49-22 NIV

03.

Why Israel?

Their return makes God known among the nations.

Ezekiel 36 and 37 tells us the main reason why God is bringing His people back to the Land of Israel. He says He will do it so that both Israel and the nations will “know that I am the Lord.” There is no greater privilege than to partner with the Lord in making His Name known among the nations. We invite you to join us in doing so!

Pray for peace in Jerusalem.
May all who love this city prosper.
O Jerusalem, may there be peace within your walls
and prosperity in your palaces.
For the sake of my family and friends, I will say,
“May you have peace.”
For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
I will seek what is best for you, O Jerusalem.
Psalm 122:6-9 NLT
