Commemoration of Passover (Pesach)
Dear Friends,
Passover (Hebrew: פֶּסַח, Pesach) is holy, and it is one of the most beloved observances in Jewish life. It commemorates the first Exodus—when the LORD delivered the Israelites from slavery in Egypt and revealed Himself as the God who saves. This year, Passover begins on the evening of Wednesday, April 1, and continues through Thursday, April 9.
Pesach was born in a night overshadowed by fear. Yet it was in that very darkness that the God of Israel declared His nearness: “I have surely seen the affliction of My people… and have heard their cry … So I have come down to deliver them . . .” Exodus 3:7–8 TLV
On the shores of the Red Sea, when Israel felt trapped, outnumbered, and without escape, Moses proclaimed: “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and see the salvation of ADONAI… ADONAI will fight for you.” Exodus 14:13–14 TLV
And God did. He placed Himself between Israel and their enemies. He opened a path no one could have imagined. He brought His people safely through the waters and utterly destroyed the pursuit of the enemy behind them.
The same God who protected and delivered Israel then is the God who protects Israel now—He watches over His people, as written: “Behold, the Keeper of Israel [Adonai] neither slumbers nor sleeps.” Psalm 121:4 TLV
As families across Israel and around the world prepare for Pesach, may the LORD spread His shelter of peace over every home, every soldier, every child. May He comfort the grieving, heal the wounded, strengthen the weary, and deliver the captives. May His protection and deliverance be felt in every corner of the Land through this perilous hour.
Please join us as we pray that this season will bring a renewed unshakable assurance that God’s redemptive purpose for Israel and the nations remains unwavering for today and forevermore!
You in Your lovingkindness led the people You have redeemed. You guided them in Your strength to Your holy habitation. By the greatness of Your arm . . .the people whom You purchased cross over. You bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of Your inheritance, the place ADONAI You have made for Yourself to dwell in the Sanctuary, ADONAI, which Your hands have prepared. ADONAI will reign forever and ever!! Exodus 15:3,13,16-18 TLV
